Our Chapter
"At Texas Wesleyan University we hold ourselves to a higher standard. Not only in our academics - but also in our professional and personal lives. Mortar Board chapters across the nation promote the ideals of Scholarship, Leadership, and Service every day, and on our campus, we are one of the most active and influential groups - the group everybody wants to be a part of. We strive to select members that exemplify our values and live them to the fullest, to create a group of unique individuals that can create postive force in our community and campus. Mortar Board is not just a national senior honor society. It's a family, one that you will be a part of forever."
Kelsey Fulton,
Chapter President 2016-2017
What is Quadrangle?
A Quadrangle is described in Geometry as a flat, four sided polygon, with four points and four angles. When naming our chapter, our founders recognized that the mortar board resembles a Quadrangle, but it also embodies more than that.
Each corner of our Quadrangle represents something to us. The top point represents Scholarship, our dedication to our education. The left point represents Leadership, our commitment to being great leaders. The right point represents Service, our goal of serving others. And the bottom point represents Family, something unique to our chapter. We consider our chapter a special family and this is the foundation, or base, of our Quadrangle name.
